At friends’ this morning: great-crested flycatcher.

Other birds heard/seen at the Grasslands and at Herrick’s Cove this year: common raven, ruffed grouse, field sparrow, blue jay, yellow-bellied sapsucker, mourning dove, wild turkey, Canada goose, Carolina wren, pine warbler, orchard oriole, broad-winged hawk, house finch, warbling vireo, scarlet tanager, eastern kingbird, osprey, bald eagle, double-breasted cormorant, green heron, belted kingfisher, hermit thrush, downy woodpecker

Also at home this year: northern parula.

The indigo bunting at our feeder has been a nice surprise, as have a pair of purple finches. Two pairs of rose-breasted grosbeaks spend a lot of time at the feeder.
