Birds #4 (2024)

Woke up at 4:45 this morning and was wide awake, so I headed to the Grasslands and was there from 5:30 to 6:45:

wild turkey, ruffed grouse, field sparrow, savannah sparrow, song sparrow, white-throated sparrow, swamp sparrow, eastern towhee, eastern phoebe, least flycatcher, eastern kingbird, hairy woodpecker, yellow-bellied sapsucker, American goldfinch, common yellowthroat, yellow warbler, black-and-white warbler, chestnut-sided warbler, Nashville warbler, northern parula, yellow-rumped warbler, black-throated green warbler, blue-winged warbler, ovenbird, golden-winged warbler, American robin, hermit thrush, gray catbird, brown thrasher, Wilson’s snipe, bobolink, red-winged blackbird, common grackle, American crow, tufted titmouse, black-capped chickadee, ruby-crowned kinglet, northern cardinal, blue jay, house wren, Canada goose, mourning dove, tree swallow, red-eyed vireo

At home we have had rose-breasted grosbeaks, brown-headed cowbirds, blue-headed vireos, and all the usual suspects. As I’m typing this an oriole just approached but didn’t land on the feeder.
