Birds #2 (2020)

At home we had a flock of around 30 turkeys yesterday, nibbling the fallen sunflower seeds and husks under the feeders before I made creaked the door in the mud room and sent them all hurtling up the hill. The American goldfinches are starting to look a hint yellower, and the usual suspects continue to come to the feeders though I’ve noticed fewer dark-eyed juncos. Elsewhere I have heard song sparrows and Carolina wrens, and have seen turkey vultures. I assume red-winged blackbirds are back but I haven’t spent any time near wetlands to hear for myself.
