Today was the first day I noticed the crocus that comes up in its usual spot every year. We’ve had a lot of warm days, and the worst mud season in many peoples’ memories (our driveway is pretty rough). I also saw my first song sparrow of the year hopping around on the ground right outside our front door. Turkey vultures are back, and probably woodcocks and red-winged blackbirds too, but I haven’t ventured out to find them yet.
