Birds #12 (2019)

Right now listening to a wood pewee singing in the woods. Last night caught a brief glimpse of an indigo bunting at the feeder, the sole reason I put one out. The veerys have been quieter this year, at least at our place. But it is also a cool start to the summer, so our windows are often closed at dusk when I would normally hear them around our driveway. Anecdotally it seems a good year for pewees though, as I’ve been hearing them lots of places. On Mount Ascutney last weekend among other birds heard a pewee and a pair of scarlet tanagers.
